DESCRIPTION:The Prairie Village\, Herman & Milwaukee Railroad will host “A Day on the Prairie” on Saturday\, July 20\, 2024\, as part of the Planes\, Trains & Automobiles event two miles west of Madison\, South Dakota on Hwy 34. The event includes all-day rides on a train\, doodlebug\, and motorcars\, along with tours of the roundhouse\, model train layouts\, and the “Emmanuel” Chapel Car. Special activities include a presentation by Rick Mills at 2:00 PM in the Lawrence Welk Opera House and a church service on Sunday at 10:00 AM in the Chapel Car.
